Drag and drop the required item into a folder, from one folder to another, or outside of folders.

1. Click on the upload button in the right-hand toolbar.

You can select multiple files if you want to upload more than one at once.

3. Click continue and your files will start to upload to the platform.

Logging in

To access project data in Sensat’s visualisation platform you will have to be invited by one of your colleagues or by a Sensat admin. You will be sent an email granting you access to the project.

If you have been invited to multiple projects you will receive more than one email, please click on the Get Started button on the latest email invite in your inbox.

N.B. Password strength is important to protect your account. A password should be difficult to guess either manually or through automated means. Our password policy will only accept passwords that match the following criteria:

Password must be at least 8 characters long

N.B: We also have additional password policies to further ensure the strength of the selected password

Previously used passwords cannot be reused

Passwords from the ‘password dictionary’ are not allowed. The password dictionary is a list of the 10,000 most common passwords (here)

No personal data can be used as a password. This includes your name and email address

The fly to coordinate tool enables you to fly to an exact location within your project and to mark that location with a point markup. Once defined, the markup can be edited or attachments added as usual.

Location coordinates must be defined in metres, entered in either a X, Y or X, Y, Z format and be within the boundaries of your project CRS (Coordinate Reference System), for the fly to coordinate tool to work.

Latitude/Longitude units are not supported at present, however if you have coordinates in this format, they can easily be transformed to match your project CRS using this website 

Every project on Sensat has a CRS. To view what CRS your project is using, go to settings (at the top of the right-hand toolbar) and select project settings. A CRS is a series of mathematical rules that defines the location of a point (X, Y, Z) in a defined space and ensures that different sets of geospatial information within a project (e.g. a pointcloud and a CAD model) can align with one another correctly.

1. Select the helicopter icon in the left-hand toolbar

2. Enter your coordinates, defined in metres and separated by commas. Both X, Y and Y, Y, Z formats are accepted. If you don’t provide a z-coordinate we will estimate the elevation for you.

the coordinates you enter must be inside your project CRS or you will not be able to fly to them.

3. Once you have entered valid coordinates, a grey box will appear, listing your coordinates and showing a point icon. Clicking on this grey box will fly to your chosen location.

4. A transparent point markup will be displayed at the exact coordinates that you defined. At this stage you can choose to save the point by clicking on it or hitting enter. Alternatively, you can discard the markup by pressing 

5. If you have chosen to keep the markup, it will appear as in the image below. The 

 panel will also open, providing you with the opportunity to edit the markup e.g. change the name, apply an icon, add it to the timeline etc or add an attachment.

Navigating using site coordinates

The controls to navigate the 2D environment are the same as in the 3D environment.

The Sensat platform allows you to visualise both 3D data and 2D data.

The Sensat mobile app makes communicating in real time easier and faster for distributed teams. Sharing geolocated images via the app enables teams to have faster issue resolution and quick site updates.

1. Locate and download the Sensat app from the app or play store (it’s available on iOS and Android devices).

2. Use the same login credentials as the web app to log in to the mobile app.

3. Once logged in, you can access all projects you have been invited to via the side panel. Click your profile photo in the top left corner and ‘Projects’.

4. Navigate around the map, including the 2D data on your project.

5. Click the blue arrow button in the bottom right; this will take you to your current location if you are on-site or to the project data if you’re not.

Take a photo of a site, or use an existing one, to create a comment in the app and share it with the project. These will appear in the same way as comments do now in the web app.

1. Open the app on the map page and click the camera icon at the bottom (you will need to allow camera access to use this feature).

1. Take a photo of an issue on-site, or something you want to share with the team.

2. Select ‘Use Photo’ and type a message to accompany it. Use ‘@teammember’ to tag the relevant people.

N.B. Only people that have been invited to the project (via the web app) are available to be tagged

2. A comment will be created on the map at your current location if your location is switched on, or in the middle of your current map view if it’s off.

1. Open the app and click the camera button at the bottom (you will need to allow access to your photos to use this feature).

2. Click the image in the bottom left corner.

3. On the list of photos that appear, select the one to share.

5. Use the blue arrow to send the message.

6. A comment will be created on the map where your image was taken (if it’s geotagged).

N.B. If you have your location switched on for Sensat, any images you upload will be added to their geotagged location on the map.

All comments on your project are available via the mobile app, whether created on mobile or the desktop app.

1. Comments can be opened by clicking on their icons on the map.

2. Or you can open the ‘Comments’ tab at the bottom right.

3. Locate and select the comment you would like to open in more detail.

4. Once in a comment thread, you can see all the messages and expand any images to see them clearly.

5. To reply to the latest comment in this thread, click on the bar at the bottom and type a message

6. Images can also be added to the message - use the ‘camera’ to take a new one or the existing photos icon to add one that’s already been taken. This works in the same way as creating a new comment.
